Biography-Caprice is a neo-classical ensemble from Russia distinguished by Inna Brejestovskaya’s heavenly voice and acoustic sound (harp, flute, clarinet, violin, cello) with a touch of electronics. Probably the best known band’s project is the Elven trilogy – an attempt to show what the music of the parallel world of Faerie sounds like. The first two CDs are music illustrations to JRR Tolkien's novels, while the third part of the trilogy is sung in the unique language of Laoris.

Apart from CD releases Anton Brejestovski works as a composer for other numerous music projects.

Discography:
Elvenmusic Part I 2001
Songs of Innocence and Experience 2002
The Evening of Iluvatar's Children (Elvenmusic Part II) 2003
Sister Simplicity 2004
Tales of the Uninvited (Elvenmusic Part III) 2005
Mirror 2006

About the Sister Simplicity:
This is a different Caprice album - instead of the exquisite world of faerie, this time Anton Brejestovski's music speaks through Britain's best poets (Shelley, Byron, Wilde, Shakespeare, Wordsworth) about human passions - love and beauty, death and hatred. The concept of Simplicity is most breathtakingly revealed, and by so few instrumentalists, all of them Russia's top-notch musicians. And Inna Brejestovskaya's voice is more beautiful and passionate than ever.

This is terrific stuff - like a cross between Dead Can Dance, Gryphon and Bartok. At first I was afraid it was going to be part Enya, part hey-nonny-no, but it's far more sophisticated than that. I've since gone on to track down all their other albums, so many thanks for this!
