Biography-(Coming from their myspace) We are a four-piece band originally from Essex, Ealing, Shrewsbury and Leeds but now based in Manchester. We met at Manchester Uni whilst doing a music production course and ended up all living in Warrington, where we spent endless nights talking about music and jamming....and so we became KEITH. We all have different musical influences and think this really comes across in our sound. Oli's parents are classical musicians and Mark was in a string of bands at school. John was DJ-ing techno and house music as a teenager and Johnny spent his childhood bashing pots and pans with wooden spoons and his family's prized piano with a recorder before becoming a professional drummer. John is also a graphic-art genius and we use his beautiful designs for our artwork.
We listen to all sorts of different music, such as Krautrock, Jazz, Afrobeat, Deep House, Soul, Indie and Psychedelia, and like to add these influences into our own work. We have been lucky enough to work with top-class producers such as Dan Carey, Matthew Herbert and the impressively pervading James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, and have been remixed by the cream of the crop of Europe’s leftfield dance cognoscenti Alan Braxe & Fred Falke, Tomboy and Jake Bullit.
Our debut album is called 'Red Thread'. The tracks on the record vary from fat, grooving tunes to subtle atmospheric songs with some more epic stuff too.
